Everyone is tempted by something. No one is innocent of all sin. The difference between Christians and non-Christians is not that we cannot sin, but that we have been given victory over sin, and God has promised us everything we need to resist sin and temptation - should we choose to accept it. Then why don't we? Clearly it is more than a matter of knowing right and wrong. In fact, knowing right can even make it worse! The key to resisting temptation really comes down to weighing our options against our IDENTITY instead of our moral code. "Shouldn't" is about whether to keep the rules; "wouldn't" is about whether to be who we are. This message is meant to remind believers who they are in Christ, according to Scripture, and to inform non-believers who they can become!
