We continue our investigation into what the Bible has to tell us about the spiritual beings in the heavenly realms. With help from the Bible Project video, "The Divine Council," we are reminded that there are "rulers and authorities" which have been permitted by God to infiltrate the human world and influence us, both at the personal and national level. Just recognizing that they are there, enticing us toward "building Babylon" instead of God's Kingdom, should give us an advantage when it comes to escaping their attack. But since WE know THEY are there, they are particularly motivated to concentrate their efforts on us. Thankfully, we have the Word to tell us that God has already disarmed these rulers and authorities. All we have to do is refute the deceptions with what God has revealed to be true. This is still really tough in the moment - but possible!
